A Wisconsin author, with family ties in Texas, has donated 30 books to the First Baptist Church in in Sutherland Springs Texas, where the horrific shootings occurred recently.
The book: “I Am My Own Rug” is a book of thoughts, poems, and advice to anyone going through loss, and will lift the spirits and provide hope. The author’s words bring inspiration and thoughtfulness in a truthful, gentle, sometimes raw, and always uplifting way to anyone going through a difficult time.
“My heart just went out to the families and community and I wanted to do something that might help them heal,” Bailey said. “I have family that lives nearby, and I realize terrible things can happen anywhere, to very innocent people.”
Bailey wrote her book after losing her husband tragically. Published by Broken Wing Press in collaboration with Henschel HAUS Publishing in Milwaukee, WI., it is getting very positive reviews after only being out a month.
Bailey hope this one gesture may help.
